The story revolves around the Manhattan Project, which resulted in the atomic bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, shocking events in human history that sealed the fate of World War II. The story begins more than two years before the fateful August 9, 1945, when tens of thousands of people died in Hiroshima, shattered by the devastating force of the bomb. In 1943, the brightest minds of the American continent are brought to an improvised city in New Mexico, in the middle of the desert. It is the focal point of the Project for which 130,000 people will be able to work, with a total cost, updated at the inflation rate over the seven decades, of 24 billion dollars.
