Neal Caffrey is a crook who was captured after a three-year game with mouse and cat authorities. After serving almost four years in prison, he escapes from prison to find his girlfriend, whom he has reason to believe is in danger. Peter Burke, the FBI agent who captured Caffrey in the past, catches him again. This time, however, Caffrey gives him information about the evidence involved in another investigation. However, this information has a price: his release from prison in exchange for collaborating in the case under investigation, of the Dutchman, a forger of works of art. But as soon as he is released, Caffrey finds a way to live in one of the most expensive residences in Manhattan, after convincing an elderly widow to receive him as a guest in her house. In addition, his fate seems to change with the capture of the slippery Dutchman: the FBI welcomes him as a collaborator.
